Fundraising

Sunnyside Elementary and SFUSD work hard to provide the best education possible for our children. Unfortunately public school budgets are limited and do not provide the wide array of programs, resources and additional school staff our children need to thrive.

The Sunnyside Elementary PTA helps bridge this gap in funding through community fundraisers, direct donations, company matching, and grants in order to provide these essential programs and staff. We are kicking off our biggest fundraiser of the year — the 2022-23 Annual Fund — with a goal of $160,000 to be raised. This is 75% of our entire PTA fundraising goal so we need your help to reach that goal by November 5. We can reach our Annual Fund goal if each family donates $480 per student. Don't forget, your employer might even match your donation!

There are a variety of ways to support Sunnyside! Volunteering your time or donating needed resources are also valuable ways to contribute to the school's success!

Email fundraising@sunnysidesf.org with questions, suggestions or to help out in any way.

To donate by check: make checks payable to Sunnyside Elementary School PTA and send to the school:

Bid Bash: a lively, adults-only evening event with food, wine, and both live and silent auctions. See the Events page for a gallery.

Corporate Matching

Many employers will match your donation to the PTA. Check with your company’s HR department to see if they have a matching gifts program. Please email fundraising@sunnysidesf.org for assistance or questions.

Count-Me-Ins

Count-Me-Ins (CMIs) are teacher- or parent-hosted events to build community and raise money for Sunnyside PTA. It’s a great way to get to know other families while helping raise funds.
